I'm Monica, the creator behind Salt + Sol Travel Collective. My love of travel began long before it became a business. I was the friend who could always find the perfect resort, who brought everyone together, and who made every getaway feel thoughtful.

A few years after high school, I lost a close friend, and it changed the way I saw everything. I realized how short life really is, and I made a promise to myself to live fully with whatever time I was given. That shift is part of what led me here.

There are so many beautiful places on this earth, but I've always felt most drawn to the water. Something about the coast, the salt air, the stillness of it, calls me back every time. That pull became one of the reasons Salt + Sol exists.

Over time, travel became a series of meaningful chapters in my life: restorative girls' weekends, family vacations that reminded me to slow down, and eventually my own luxury destination wedding, planned with the same love for beautiful places that shaped every trip before it. Each experience showed me how powerful travel can be: the joy it brings, the connections it creates, the memories that stay with us long after the moment has passed.
